Help us Translate this Site!

We've rewritten our software so that it's easy to translate into other languages. If you can help out, your nation will breathe a sigh of thanks!

There's no money in it I'm afraid.. just the glory.

We are particularly interested in having the site translated into Spanish, Swedish, Norwegian and Danish but welcome all languages!

You'll need to be familiar with HTML .. but otherwise it's not too complicated. First, you need to translate the following files:

• en_index.html (nb NOT index.html) 
• solvemethods.html (delete the acknowledgements, and put one in for yourself!) 
• step.html
• suggest.html
• jstr_2.txt

And optionally (preferably):

• solver.html
• populargrids.html
• Silk Wedding and Silk Flower Specialists
• grids_easy.html, grids_medium.html, grids_hard.html, grids_veryhard.html, grids_nologic.html

Each file must be given a prefix of the international country code for the language you're using, followed by underscore. So the French index.html is fr_index.html

The file jstr_2.txt must be renamed (e.g. fr_jstr_2.js) - it is the language file for the solver software. NOTE: In this file only you can't use HTML markup (eg é) for accented characters - you must use the UTF-8 equivalent (eg type Alt+0233 for é).

Please ensure that you save all your files in UTF-8 format. Make sure the links still refer to the right place. Also the meta tags on each page should be updated.

in your email so that we can put a link our front page and do the appropriate acknowledgements!
